General examination

Tinnitus is a symptom and not a diagnosis.

General examination

During the general examination, the doctor will focus on the following areas:

  • Ear and hearing/balance
  • Nose and sinuses
  • Mouth and throat/larynx
  • Jaw joints and chewing muscles
  • Cervical spine

The aim is to determine the current state of the organs in the head and neck area.

This is followed by examinations of the nose (e.g. rhinoscopy, nasal function test), mouth, throat, neck and ears (e.g. ear microscopy).

Furthermore, the ENT specialist tests sensory functions (e.g. hearing and balance). In addition, allergy tests and various hearing tests can be carried out, depending on the issue at hand. For further diagnostic clarification, imaging techniques such as ultrasound and/or CT are used if necessary.

Guiding principle

Our treatments and therapy recommendations are based on the needs of the patients in accordance with the application of modern medical research results in order to meet the demand for an optimal treatment result.
